SEPTIC TANK PUMPING
Reasons for pumping your septic tank...
- Provides the longest possible lifespan of the septic system
- Keeps the solid levels inside the tank at a
minimum
- Avoids some costly repairs in the future
Septic tanks come in a variety of sizes depending on the size of the home.
All septic tanks have at least 2 compartments. Some older tanks
have 3 compartments. We always pump all compartments
and rinse the tank. We check the basic functioning of the system and make
the homeowner aware of any safety issues or repairs that are necessary or that
could become necessary in the future.
Our trucks are equipped with 200' of hose. We don't always need to be right
at the tank in order to pump it out. We do have longer hoses available if
necessary.
We do need to have water available in order to pump the tank and rinse both
the tank and our hoses when done.
- Step 1
- Locate septic tank lids and
uncover the tank
- Step 2
- Pump out all septic and solids from inside tank ( The only exception to
this is when there are large amounts of debris, dirt or
roots in the tank. These usually need to be removed by hand at an additional
charge.)
- Step 3
- Rinse down the inside walls of tank and pump out the whatever is left
- Step 4
- Evaluate the current condition of septic tank and check for safety and
functioning concerns. Inform homeowner or representative of any items that do
need or could need attention in the future.
- Step 5
- Put the lids back in place and cover the tank and make the homeowner aware
of any safety issues or maintenance tips and answer any questions they might
have.
